Our Story
Vale Industries Inc. began in August 1974 when Ray Valente acquired Pontiac Machine and transformed it into Vale Industries in Pontiac, Illinois. Originally specializing in agricultural pulleys, the company shifted its focus to proprietary products for the steel mill industry under Valente’s leadership. In June 1984, the business was purchased by Chuck Dunham, and four years later, it was relocated to a modern manufacturing facility in DeKalb, Illinois, about 60 miles west of Chicago. (Yes, the same DeKalb known for its famous corn seed production.)

Since then, Vale has grown from a regional operation into a global supplier, with equipment operating in Asia, China, Russia, and Africa. Our machinery serves Bar and Strip, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous mills, Bar and Strip processors, Fastener manufacturers, Cold Heading and Roll Forming industries, and Metallurgical/QC Labs.
