CUT GUARDS

Description

Vale Industries Inc. shear guards provide a means of protecting the operator against possible injury to hands or fingers by enclosing the opening between the blades. The shearing of rod or bar can easily be accomplished by simply applying a slight pressure to the front of the guard, allowing the material to slide into position between the shear blades. After the cut has been made, the shear guard will automatically return to its original position by means of a return spring. While the shear guard is not required by Vale Industries on every tool, it is always recommended.
